Criminal Matters

 

Being accused of a crime is a terrible ordeal. Over the years William J. Unroch has successfully defended and advised a wide array of accused criminals ranging from the rich and powerful to the poor and downtrodden. Clients have included reputed organized crime members as well as ordinary citizens who were innocent but got entangled in very serious criminal matters. Criminal clients have included lawyers, doctors, businessmen, truck drivers, real estate brokers, insurance brokers, college students, priests, ministers, housewives, models, artists, fashion designers, school teachers, and a host of other people and businesses from all walks of life. Criminal matters handled have included murder, rapes, robberies, assaults, mail fraud, embezzlement, conspiracy, drunk driving, larceny, possession of stolen property, fraud, forgery, aggravated harassment, illegal gun possession, and many other violent, non violent, and white collar crimes. If it is clear an acquittal is not a realistic possibility, with the client’s consent, we will work diligently with the client, the District Attorney, and the criminal justice system to negotiate an acceptable plea bargain to a misdemeanor or lesser charge which will allow our client to quickly resume a normal life.
